| The advantages of having a re-conditioned Rayburn from country style cookers ltd is that you have the option of either a right hand oven/ flue, or a left hand oven/ flue. This can be a major factor when you are looking for a Rayburn but are limited to which side the water pipes can enter the cooker and on where the cooker can be situated in relation to the chimney.
Here is a list of the re-conditioned Rayburn's which country style cookers can supply.
Rayburn Royals (left or right hand oven) -
These can be solid fuel, multi-fuel or oil.
The Rayburn supreme or Nouvelle (which is only available in the right hand oven) - This cooker is a multi-fuel model which will has the facilities to do your cooking, domestic hot water and your central heating (upto 9 radiators).
Keep a close eye on our website because we are currently testing our prototype 13 amp electric rayburn, which will go on general sale once the directors are happy with the consumption figures and running of the appliance.
We have these models which are ready for re-conditioning. Once an order comes in for one of our re-conditioned Rayburn's, we will completely strip the old cooker. Send the front, doors, top, lids, unless you go for the brand new chrome option and the splashback (if the cooker has one not all rayburn models had a splash back) to the enamellers to get enamelled in the colour of your choice. The boiler, sides, back, packing, door liners, firebricks, the grates and frames, chrome, ashpan, and thermoclocks all get taken to the scrap merchants to get melted down and reused.
The oven carcass and any other cast iron pieces all get sandblasted back down to bare cast and then will be checked for excessive wear and tear. Any castings showing excessive wear will be removed, and get replaced by genuine parts. A brand new boiler will be fitted, as are the firebricks if it's a solid fuel model. If you add the chrome lid option we will purchase brand new chrome lids to replace the enamelled ones. Both door liners and thermodial are replaced with brand new parts. The sides are replaced with brand new powder coated in the same colour as the front and the back will be a galvanised. Once we have agreed a date the Rayburn will delivered whole and placed in its final resting place. If pre-arranged we can do the installation as well (depending on location).
The Rayburn is a classic cooking model, which has stood the test of time, even to this day they are developing models to run on all types of fuels. Originally released in 1946 the Rayburn is still considered as the the ideal cooker for a wide spectrum of people as it not only does the cooking it will provide sufficient hot water and do you central heating as well as giving of adequate heat into the kitchen. If you burn wood you can help the environment as wood is a sustainable fuel. |
